A Christian Holy Bible Reading Plan With Detailed Study Notes

The Holy Bible is the most important Book that has ever been written - and the most important Book that you could ever read. It is the only true and dependable source of information for the origins see Bible History and future see Prophecy Prophecy of humanity, as made possible through our Savior Jesus Christ.
This Bible-reading plan has a straight front-to-back format to reveal God's step by step Plan of Salvation. Key events of the Bible occurred in a purposeful sequence - the understanding of later chapters is greatly enhanced by the awareness of those that came earlier.
This easy schedule will complete the entire Holy Bible in 52 weeks - 22 chapters per week for the first 7 weeks, and 23 chapters per week for the remaining 45 weeks. An approximate 30 minute time period in a quiet time of each day is the only investment that you need - a very small price to pay for the knowledge and peace of mind that you get in return. We also have 2 free online Bibles: The King James Version and The American Standard Version
.
The days and weeks of the chart are numbered rather than dated, so a beginning can be made at any day of the year. Just go to Week 1 and do the row from left to right, from Day 1 to Day 7. Repeat the process down the list.
Enjoy the wonderful Word of God!

How Old Is God?

Time is a measurement of physical change. Time has therefore only existed since the creation of the physical universe when humans began to measure years, months, days and hours as instructed by God: "Let there be lights [i.e. the sun and the moon] in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years" (Genesis 1:14 KJV). But God is not physical. God has always existed, before time began. Before the creation of the universe, God lived timeless in which no yesterdays ever happened and no tomorrows ever came. God has no age and does not age. If one could see God the Father, He could just as well look like a young man as an old one - "young" or "old" is something that applies to mortal physical humans that God created "in His own image" (Genesis 1:27 KJV). Even after the Creation, physical time is irrelevant to God because God is Spirit i.e. "one day is with The Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day" (2 Peter 3:8 KJV) just as His children may one day become spirit, set free from time: "And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever" (Revelation 22:5 KJV, see also the Fact Finder question below).

Timeless and Perfect
Change happens when something gets either better or worse; to stay the same means no change. People change, while God never changes. God has always been absolutely perfect - God can become neither better or worse. God does not change; therefore what God says is right, or wrong, is for all time.True right and wrong is timeless.
Stars of HeavenAll that is good is of God, and what is truly good does not change:
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." (James 1:17 KJV)

History of the Bible - Who wrote the Bible?

The Bible was written over a span of 1500 years, by 40 authors. Unlike other religious writings, the Bible reads as a factual news account of real events, places, people, and dialogue. Historians and archaeologists have repeatedly confirmed its authenticity.
Using the authors' own writing styles and personalities, God shows us who he is and what it's like to know him.
There is one central message consistently carried by all 40 authors of the Bible: God, who created us all, desires a relationship with us. He calls us to know him and trust him.
The Bible not only inspires us, it explains life and God to us. It does not answer all the questions we might have, but enough of them. It shows us how to live with purpose and compassion. How to relate to others. It encourages us to rely on God for strength, direction, and enjoy his love for us. The Bible also tells us how we can have eternal life.
Multiple categories of evidence support the historical accuracy of the Bible as well as its claim to divine authorship. (Here are the subsections of this article, if you want to jump to any particular one.)
  1. How does archaeology support the Bible?
  2. Has the Bible changed over time, or do we have what was originally written?
  3. Are the gospel accounts of Jesus reliable?
  4. Do historians confirm what the Bible says about Jesus?
  5. Are there contradictions in the Bible?
  6. How were the books of the New Testament determined? Why not the gospel of Judas?
  7. Why did it take 30 to 60 years for the Gospels to be written?
  8. Does it matter if Jesus really did and said what is in the Gospels?

Jesus Christ Biography

Jesus founded Christianity, one of the world’s most influential religions. His teachings and life are recorded in the Bible’s New Testament and emulated by Christians all over the world.
esus Christ was born circa 6 B.C. in Bethlehem. Little is known about his early life, but as a young man, he founded Christianity, one of the world’s most influential religions. His life is recorded in the New Testament, more a theological document than a biography. According to Christians, Jesus is considered the incarnation of God and his teachings an example for living a more spiritual life. Christians believe he died for the sins of all people and rose from the dead.

Most of Jesus's life is told through the four Gospels of the New Testament Bible, known as the Canonical gospels, written by Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. These are not biographies in the modern sense but accounts with allegorical intent. They are written to engender faith in Jesus as the Messiah and the incarnation of God, who came to teach, suffer and die for people’s sins.

Jesus was born circa 6 B.C. in Bethlehem. His mother, Mary, was a virgin who was betrothed to Joseph, a carpenter. Christians believe Jesus was born through Immaculate Conception. His lineage can be traced back to the house of David. According to the Gospel of Matthew (2:1), Jesus was born during the reign of Herod the Great, who upon hearing of his birth felt threatened and tried to kill Jesus by ordering all of Bethlehem’s male children under age two to be killed. But Joseph was warned by an angel and took Mary and the child to Egypt until Herod’s death, where upon he brought the family back and settled in the town of Nazareth, in Galilee.
There is very little written about Jesus's early life. The Gospel of Luke (2:41-52) recounts that a 12-year-old Jesus had accompanied his parents on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and became separated. He was found several days later in a temple, discussing affairs with some of Jerusalem’s elders. Throughout the New Testament, there are trace references of Jesus working as a carpenter while a young adult. It is believed that he began his ministry at age 30 when he was baptized by John the Baptist, who upon seeing Jesus, declared him the Son of God.
